UPHCS Behavioral Health Network Purpose

The purpose of the UPHCS Behavioral Health Network (BHN) is to develop a coordinated, collaborative approach to improving access to quality behavioral health services in the region for all residents regardless of their location, physical, social and financial circumstances, or diagnosis.

The goals of the UPHCS Behavioral Health Network include:

1. Provide evidence-based recommendations to healthcare leaders for improved access to high-quality behavioral health care for all Upper Peninsula residents

2. Serve as a platform to identify, develop, and implement initiatives for improving access to high-quality behavioral health services and resources for all Upper Peninsula residents

3. Improve communication, collaboration and coordination between healthcare and service providers in the region to:

  • Disseminate data relevant to the sustainability, accessibility, and quality of behavioral health services and information exchange across the Upper Peninsula
  • Develop, evaluate, and improve meaningful behavioral health projects and programs across our region through collaborative work
  • Identify and optimally leverage quality opportunities to develop the capacity of the UPHCS Behavioral Health Network through workforce development across the Upper Peninsula
